Visit to University of Greenwich’s Stockwell Street Library
We are delighted to offer an additional activity at the end of the M25 Annual Conference with a tour of the University of Greenwich’s Stockwell Street Library.
The University’s library and academic building, on Stockwell Street was designed by Heneghan Peng Architects and is located along an approach from Greenwich Town Centre to Greenwich Park within the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.
The building is home to the University’s main research and study library as well as several academic departments and was shortlisted for both the Stirling Prize and the British Construction Industry Awards, having also won a RIBA London Regional Award and the award for best London Town Centre Project in the London Planning awards. The library has been open for just over ten years. Arranged over five floors, the main feature of the library is the huge steel central staircase offering fabulous views from different angles.
