Visit to the RHS Lindley Library [Event Ref. No. TG4V/RHS]
Twitter – #cpd25RHSTRIP
Founded in 1804, the Royal Horticultural Society has collected books and botanical art since its earliest days. Heritage collections dating back to the 16th Century are housed in RHS headquarters, in Vincent Square.
The visit will include a short introduction to the library and its collections, and be illustrated with lots of examples of early printed books, ephemera and botanical art both historic and contemporary. Newest acquisitions will be on show for the first time, and there will be the opportunity to find out more about the varied work of the library.
Address:
Royal Horticultural Society, 80 Vincent Square, London, SW1P 2PE
