Moving into Management [TG4/MiM]
How do you harness the power of a team? Motivate others and deal with challenges?
This interesting and engaging two-day course will provide an insight as to what it means to be a manager. Attendees range from those who want to know whether management is really for them to those who have just started out in a management role for the first time and are looking for an all-round basic introduction to the skills they will need. Organisations are looking for managers who enjoy working with people, building team morale and effective systems. They want you to enjoy your job. The skill sets for management are quite different to subject matter expertise, so it is important to go into this opportunity with eyes wide open!
This two day workshop will be led by trainer Nicole Godetz, Director of Management Consultancy, Noo Thinking Ltd. Nicole is a versatile and creative consultant specialising in improving the working practices and, in turn, the performance of individuals, schools, businesses and organisations. “A supportive, insightful and motivating facilitator” committed to getting the best out of all individuals and driving a strong collaborative mentality to bring teams together and encourage reflective thinking. Highly recognised as an open and honest communicator, using intuitive listening skills and acute emotional intelligence, Nicole brings a breadth of experience as a coaching expert and Project Manager with proven expertise in mediation, stakeholder management, logistics, facilitation, review and change management.
Nicole’s background, prior to her move into consultancy for individuals and organisations, is 25 years of leadership experience, 17 as an executive headteacher in a number of complicated London schools. She has significant experience managing diverse and complex senior teams in a high accountability sector, building their resilience while rapid shifts in stakeholder expectations were the only certainty. She is now an experienced workforce consultant and is super practical in the tools and techniques she shares.
