Managing physical resources in a HE library [TG3/Resources] – Event now full

Interested in learning more about the practical aspects of managing physical library collections? This half day event will provide an overview of collections management as well as advice and practical skills in handling and managing physical resources. The event will begin with a brief overview of the Library, Archive & Open Research Services (LAORS) at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), followed by an informal presentation on topics relating to managing physical resources in an academic library, culminating in a tour of LSHTM Library and collections. There will also be training in handling rare books and a chance to explore some of the rare books and archives held in the collections. This event is primarily aimed at library assistants and senior library assistants, and those new to working in acquisitions, resources and collections.
