The University of Bedfordshire prides itself on listening to and implementing the views and opinions of its students.
The new library is a case in point. The £46m project was developed in collaboration with students, who took part in focus groups to aid the planning and construction of the facility. The University is investing £46m in a new state-of-the-art library at the Luton campus.
Construction began in January 2014 and the new library opened July 2016.
The building is the home for the University’s library and learning resources centre and includes:
30% more study spaces than previous building

Digital signage throughout building (wall mounted plasma screen)
300+ bookable PCs plus PCs in ITSuite
9 levels – use stairs to keep fit
Bookable rooms
Café
Wayfinding kiosk
Lockers
Study Hub teams One place to go for help with academic skills support from PAD (Professional and Academic Development), ALLs (Academic Liaison Librarians) and CST (Computer Skills Training) teams

Cancellations received less than one week before the event will be charged a £15 cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, £25 will be charged.
