This workshop is part of the cpd25 Aspects programme, aimed at library staff looking to acquire additional skills and knowledge or staff working towards Chartership.
Supervising and Managing Staff
Sooner or later in your career it is likely that you will have to supervise or manage other library staff. This workshop is aimed at people taking their first steps in staff management, or who are interested in doing so. Drawing on their own considerable experience, our speakers will cover the basics of supervision and line management and include sections on emotional intelligence, dealing with performance issues, managing change and leading small teams.
