TG4: Personal, Management and Business Skills Task Group
The Personal, Management and Business Skills group aims to provide training, networking and staff development opportunities for staff in libraries in areas of generic interest i.e. not specific to library work. The opportunities offered will encompass aspects of personal development as well as management and business skills training. Examples of areas that may be covered include: transferable skills, change management, managing customer behaviour, cultural awareness, budget management, supervisory/management skills.
Recent events that the group has arranged include the annual SLA Conference, Training for Supervisors, Managing Student Behaviour, as well as visits to UCL Student Centre, Shakespeare’s Globe Library & Archive and Wiener Holocaust Library.
