Twitter – #cpd25REPO
This event on institutional repositories will look at development of an institutional repository and its continual improvement, new alternatives to the traditional approach to managing repositories, working with e-prints and innovations in tracking the impact of research within your repository.

1330-1340 – Introduction and Welcome
1340-1425 – Chris Awre, Head of Information Management, University of Hull
Describes the development of the Hydra repository solution and community since its inception in 2008, and put this in the context of what it has enabled us to do at the University of Hull with regard to our own institutional repository.

Institutional repositories beyond the basics
1510-1530 – Refreshments

E-prints and the repository
1615-1700 – Terry Bucknell, Product Sales Manager, figshare and Altmetric.com
Describes the evolution of figshare from an Open Data site for researchers to an institutional RDM solution designed to meet funder requirements and to provide institutional oversight of RDM, while still offering the ease of use that’s made it popular. Plus how Altmetric tracks what people are saying about research, to show the impact of papers, books and datasets beyond just citations, and how you can easily add this article-level information to your repository, or aggregate it to the level of an author, department or institution.
