Visit to Senate House Library [Event Ref. No. TG3V/SHL]
Senate House Library is located in the impressive Senate House, Bloomsbury. A large scale refurbishment of the Library was completed in 2011, and this visit provides an opportunity to hear how the Library maintained its services during the extensive works as well as a chance to see the finished result. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more generally about the Library and its collections and services.
Senate House Libraries, University of London constitute one of the world’s most significant collections in the arts, humanities and social sciences. The eight collaborating libraries at Senate House and for the Institutes of the School of Advanced Study together provide services to over 100,000 registered readers every year, from Colleges of the University and from the UK and an international research base.
