Visit to Pentonville Prison Library [Event Ref. No. TG2V/PENT]’
Have you ever wondered what working in a prison library is like? Attending this visit will give you an insight into what it is like to be a prison librarian.
Places are limited to 6 people, so please book promptly.
This visit is free of charge and refreshments will be provided.
Meeting details:
You will need to bring proof of photo ID with you (e.g. driving licence or passport).
The meeting point for the group will be 1.30 p.m. at the Main Gate. The prison is a short walk from Caledonian Road tube (Piccadilly Line) or Caledonian Road and Barnsbury overground station.
The prison address is HMPS Pentonville, Caledonian Rd, N7 8TT.
Directions:
It is a short walk from Caledonian Rd tube station (Piccadilly Line). Come out of the station and turn right. Continue walking down the main rd. The prison is a massive white building on the left hand side of the road after the first set of traffic lights.

Caledonian Rd and Barnsbury over ground station – Exit left from the station and walk up Caledonian Rd. The prison will be on the right-hand side of the rd, approx 5 min walk.
