Speaker biographies:
Jonathan White is the Director of Library and Cultural Services at the University of Essex, which is a portfolio including the university libraries, art gallery, theatre, archives and art collections. He is a Board Director of The Forum in Southend-on-Sea, which is a partnership between Southend City Council, South Essex College and the University of Essex. Jonathan has worked in higher education libraries for over 16 years, and has interests in information literacy, open research and service and collections design for the future. He has published on digital literacy and has just joined the Horizons Strategy Group of SCONUL.
Robert Curry, Associate Director, Oxford Brookes University
Chris Foreman has, since September 2020, been the Associate Director (Content and Discovery) within Library Services at University of the Arts, London (UAL). At UAL, Chris oversees the University Library and Archive collections across what is now 8 Libraries and 2 Archives – including the newly re-located London College of Fashion Archive and the soon-to-be re-located Archives and Special Collection Centre at London College of Communication.
Chris has been employed in Higher Education Libraries for nearly 25 years and has previously worked at Senate House Library, University of London – where he was Associate Director for Operations and Services – and at the University of Roehampton.
Kelli Staake, (she/her) works as an assistant academic support librarian at University of the Arts London. She works in the Creative Computing Institute supporting computer science and data science degrees. Kelli recently completed her MA in Library and Information Studies at UCL. She has an interest in critical information literacy and attempting to keep her houseplants alive.
Sarah Pipkin (she/her) is the Outreach and Exhibitions Coordinator at UCL Special Collections. Her role includes supporting the use of collections in teaching sessions and events for internal and external audiences, as well as project managing library exhibitions for UCL’s Bloomsbury campus. She is also studying for an MA in Library and Information Studies at UCL.
Ellie Murphy is a Library Digital Technologist at London Metropolitan University. In previous roles Ellie has worked in Academic Liaison at University of Westminster Library and as a Digital Skills Manager at University of Huddersfield. Her current role harmoniously combines her recent experience in digital skills training and her background in libraries.
Ellie is a strong advocate of digital technology and loves helping people make the most of digital tools in their work and life.
Naomi Elliott has been Head of Academic Liaison and Content at London Metropolitan University since November 2022. Naomi oversees the Content and Digital Team, Academic Liaison Librarians and the Library Digital Technologist.

- One free place (normally for the M25 Representative) as the standard benefit of membership – registration still required

Non-M25 Members: £65
Group discount: 3 or more paying delegates will receive a £5 discount per person if they book as a group e.g. 3 or more members would receive a delegate rate of £30pp, non-members £60pp. Please fill out one form per person and add a note to the form in the PO number box to state ‘group booking’. Please also email cpd25@london.ac.uk with the names of the group members so we can identify you when we receive your booking forms. Any queries about group booking should be sent to cpd25@london.ac.uk. Group discount does not apply to students or member representatives using their free place.
Student rate: £10 – if you’re studying and working at an M25 library please use the member registration form and write ‘student’, as well as your job title, in the designated box. If you’re a student and not employed by an M25 member library please use the non-member form and write ‘student’ in the designated job title box.
Conference Bursaries: Two bursaries supporting free attendance at the conference are available. If you’re a staff member in an M25 library please click here to view the Staff Development Award Scheme.
Cancellation policy: Cancellation is free until 23:59 on 30th May 2024. Cancellations after this date will be charged 50%. No-shows on the day will be charged 100%.
