Visit to the Museum of London Library [TG4v/MoLLib]
The Museum of London’s Library is going through a big rationalisation process in preparation for the move to their New Museum. The main collection (40,000 titles) is held at London Wall and covers subjects of interest to the museum, such as the history and archaeology of London, museum studies and conservation, decorative and fine arts, fashion, and social history.
The visit will include a tour of the library space, the discussion of ongoing projects (audits, cataloguing, promotion) and a chance to see some curious items from the Library’s Special Collections.
Please meet at the museum’s main entrance, by the information desk. Be aware that for security purposes, bags and coats will not be allowed inside the Library. You will however be able to leave your belongings in a secure storage nearby. Photography will be allowed but only for private use (i.e. not on social media).
Bookings for visits are open to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.
