The Disabled Students Allowance is an important means of financial support for disabled students in England and Wales. Changes to the DSA came into effect in September 2016, moving away from individual DSA grants towards institutionally funded support.

In this event, we discover the rationale behind these changes and how they have been implemented, from both a university’s and a student’s perspective. Librarians will explain how they have created and fostered inclusive learning environments and there will be an interactive group discussion designed to encourage you to think about how you and your institution’s library can support disabled students more. Please bring along ideas of your own or think about practice at your own institution, both good and bad.
